The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation officially launched its annual TRF Hay Drive on Friday, February 19. Started in 2008, the annual TRF Hay Drive campaign is essential to help the TRF meet its annual hay costs of more than $200,000. This year, the theme “Hay! It’s what’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner.” has already taken off with an early challenge grant. The gold rush is on as top riders seek OTTBs
Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) released today a list of 480 trainers from 45 states, three Canadian Provinces and England who will acquire and train a recently retired racehorse for the $100,000 Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium, scheduled for October 27-30 at the Kentucky Horse Park. All ten of the discipline winners from last year’s Makeover will return to defend their titles, along with seventy-three other Makeover alumni on brand new horses.
