The money has been raised, the “call” has been placed. And the excitement is rippling through Our Mims Retirement Haven as the facility readies for the arrival of a great racehorse. It was as if he knew. At least that’s how it seemed to Denise Wetmore-Grey when she watched the interaction between her 8-year-old daughter and the racehorse Jersey Moon. Stout and quiet like his mother Smooth Choice, the sweet tempered colt forgot his usual demeanor while gazing at the romping, frisky mares in the adjacent pasture.
