I watched Meghan grow up. As a very young child she was an incredibly talented rider. She is an amazing young lady. I remember being introduced to pirate when he first came to the barn. Never did I imagine what a team these two would make. So happy for Meghan. Mark and Jill you have done a wonderful job with all of your children. Thank you for all the wonderful years my family enjoyed at LeCheval

I think Wendy’s stunning photograph says it all. What an enthusiastic team!

“….well, here we go again, yet another wonderful comeback story about our favorite breed, “the Thoroughbred”. It matters not what they do after the track, whether it’s a 4-Star event, the Dressage arena, the H/J Ring, a small schooling show or even on the trails, this magnificent breed consistently gives their all to their human counterpart and they do it with class, heart and soul! Go Team Meghan and Pirate, the two of you are great-big-shining-super-stars!”

What a fine and noble OTTB. Pirate proves that once again an inexpensive OTTB can and will clean the clocks of the expensive European warmbloods. Pirate is not the first to do this and he will not be the last. He joins the ranks of other fine OTTB’s like Courageous Comet, Molokai, Out and About, The Foreman, Jenga and a long list of others. If you want an athlete, get an OTTB or TB.

Love this story. Love this blog site. What a little engine that could. He just needed the right track and away he went. Love hearing about these transition stories. Sounds like Pirate found his forever home.

Another “four-star” story on the talents of the Off-Track ThoroughBred, Susan. You’re right about the winning smile of the rider, but look at the “equally winning” expression on Pirate. He’s got a job to do and he’s loving it.
