Good news! Due to the increase in readership,which this blog is experiencing, it has become necessary to make some technical improvements. Derby parties raise funds for 900 T’breds
As Thoroughbred racing’s finest 3 year olds dashed across the finish line of the Kentucky Derby Saturday, cheers and charity coalesced at Derby Parties from New York to Florida benefitting the 900 ex-racehorses in the care of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF). Tractor light once shined on TB in darkest hour
In the dark of midnight tractor lights lit up his fine head, which lolled as his long Thoroughbred legs dangled like a marionette’s limbs, only inches above the ground. ‘”Damn it! We should have put him down. We shouldn’t have put him through this!” said Beverly Strauss at the time.
