(Press Release) Rockville, Md.— CANTER Mid-Atlantic launched a Winter Hay and Holiday Card Drive this week to raise $4,500 to insure resources are available to maintain its much-needed winter hay supply. Mare loses foal at feed lot, but gains new life
Deemed useless, spent from delivering progeny to sires such as Saffir, a mother and daughter stood like the others, unremarkable and the same as every other horse bound for slaughter that day. Their last foals were gone; the soft muzzles now absent from udders that hung full of milk. Barbaro author Alex Brown to return to England
Alex Brown, the outspoken British exercise rider who came to the states 26 years ago to ride at Fair Hill, but wound up becoming known for the social media community he fostered, is planning to ride off into the sunset. Brown, 49, announced this week that he intends to hang up the tack and return home to his native England to pursue a full-time teaching career centered around social media.
