ReRun, Inc. taps Lisa Molloy as program director
ReRun, Inc. has named seasoned horseman and well-liked Thoroughbred advocate Lisa Molloy to head up the horse charity’s day-to-day operations, with goals of increasing the numbers of ex-racehorses re-homed through the program. Molloy assumes the title of Program Director at the charity, and in the newly created position will be responsible for overseeing the care and training of Thoroughbreds as they move through the process of rehabbing, retraining, and eventually finding homes. Knee treatment saves famous ‘painting horse’
Dr. Kimberly Brokaw, DVM, of Maryland announced this week that novel treatments introduced to counteract potentially life-threatening knee inflammation and arthritis in famous “painting” ex-racehorse Metro Meteor, appear to be working. Metro, the talented ex-racehorse who paints abstract in acrylics, and who has been featured on myriad national news shows, suffers soft tissue swelling within the joint capsule of his knees, combined with an arthritic condition and extra bone growth, Brokaw explains.
